Help: Nose-over
About this Section:
A nose-over allows a smooth transition from the horizontal to the decline or the incline to the horizontal. Nose-overs are standard on most incline conveyors and optional on other units. They are available in either
a single or double nose-over configurations.

Some things to consider when adding a nose-over.

  • A nose-over may be used on an incline or decline conveyor.  The equipment is the same on both units.
  • The length of the product may determine the distance of the nose-over roller from the end of the conveyor. It is ideal to have length of the nose-over sufficient to allow the entire base of the product rest flat on the nose-over section.
  • Products that are tall relative to their length may require that you reduce the angle as much as possible to decrease the chance the product will tumble as it makes the transition.
  • Addition supports are required before and after the adjustable connections.
A common SINGLE nose-over configuration is to locate a pivoting roller assembly approximately 2 ft from the end of the conveyors
A common DOUBLE nose-over configuration is to locate a pivoting roller assembly approximately 2 ft from the end of the conveyors and an addition assembly 3 ft. from the end of the conveyor.
