Help: Crossover
About this Section:
Crossover sections are used on "Line Shaft" conveyors to transfer the powertrain to the opposite side of the conveyor.  One of the primary advantages of line shaft is it's ability to effectively use one power source to drive many components. Often this requires moving the line shaft to the opposite side of the conveyor to align with the shaft of another piece of equipment.

Some things to consider when using a crossover.

  • Crossovers should not be located where the product is diverted on or off the conveyor.
  • Curves and spurs have the line shaft located on the inside radius.
  • It is good practice to located at lease one floor support on where the bed section meet the cross-over section.
